Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.GetDeviceUniqueID is returning the exact same "unique" ID on 3 smartphone mobile 5 devices that I'm currently working on. The same code, taken straight from getdeviceuniqueid.h, works fine on CE mobile 5 devices. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks.
Post Follow-up to this messageIt looks like the guy's who put together the BSP's that you have for WM did not correctly implement the kernel IOCTL_HAL_GET_HWENTROPY and IOCTL_HALL_GET_DEVICEID calls. They probably took one of the sample BSP's and just ported them. On devices with these calls implemented correctly GetDeviceUniqueID should return a "unique" ID. --Rob "funkycold25@gmail.com" wrote: > GetDeviceUniqueID is returning the exact same "unique" ID on 3 > smartphone mobile 5 devices that I'm currently working on. True nobility arises from being superior to one's past self.
