Need to Mimic Hyperterminal (also posted on ms.public.vb.com)
HI,

I am using Hyperterminal to connect to COM1.

I send the command CALL <HostNumber>, and I connect to a mainframe, and
send and receive ASCII text back and forth.

I need to automate this process in a VB6 program.

I looked at the NewVBTerm sample and ran it against the same port. I
can connect to the port but the CALL command leaves me with a return of
INVALID COMMAND. Can the MSCOMM control emulate Hyperterminal, or is
some other control more appropriate?

Thanks!!!
