Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.Good morning. When I try to use the Package/Deployment Wizard to generate all the files the end user will need to run the program, I get an Error Msg: "Unexpected error number 429 has occurred: ActiveX component can't create the object". Can anyone tell me how to fix this please? I tried it on two different programs and got the same error message on each of them. TIA, Jim.

Post Follow-up to this messageThank you Sir. The error occurs after I choose the Package or Deploy button so I ran the statement for the hostwiz.dll : Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\ COMMON\Wizards98\hostwiz.dll" but I get another error message. I believe this is due to the fact that I do not have Visual Studio on my PC, I only have Visual Basic 6 Professional Edition. What do I do now, please? TIA, Jim. Post Follow-up to this messageIt's possible that you're using an ActiveX control that you've got installed on your PC but not by virtue of having VB installed, and it's got redistribution prevention on it.
