I can create new ones for me, they all start with myUsername_, though I
think that's a cpanel feature.

Ta for changing the subject, that part of newsgroup ettiquette had

You should be happy that you have a good host, all that I have seen don't
allow users to create databases at all, only tables in their own database an
d
if they want extra databases they charge extra each month.
Good luck for me is that I do run my own "server", so I don't have that prob
lem.

10 tables in one database, or 5 tables each in 2 databases. There
wouldn't be any noticeable difference.
