scandisk
Hi,

Is there anybody who knows how to start Scandisk for XP. Not chkdsk.exe but
I mean the GUI from scandisk. Just like the old one in Windows 98SE.
(SCANDSKW.EXE)
Does anybody know if there's a possibility to start it with a sort of API
call????

Please help me, because i'm dealing with this problem for a very long
time............
I need this part in my application for my education. It helps me to pass my
school exam..:S

But seriously, look into the DDE stuff, I don't know how to use
DDE commands, but that's probably going to be your answer.

If this is to show your abilities then it isn't quite fair if other
people give you the answers is it?

Re: scandisk
I wrote an external application wich runs on the shell of the computer.
users have not the possibility to start
the explorer.exe and so on. but if the computer hangs for a moment and the
user restarts it, then it's quite
neccessary to start a disk checking program isn't it.???
Thank you for your reply, It was better for me to explain all this.
I think i will post it again.
