Tomcat won't reload apps unles I turn off and on..
I put this in tomcat\conf\server.xml..

<DefaultContext reloadable="true"/>

but still, if I make a change to a servlet and compile Tomcat will not
reflect changes unless I turn it off and on again.. this is extremely
annoying... (version is 5.0.27.. on W2k..)

(I put this same line in server.xml on server where my website is, and
it works fine, I hit reload once on browser and Tomcat always reloads
from newly-uploaded classes w/no problem, don't know why this won't work
locally on my machine..)

thank you.......  Frances

loaded...It happens to me...

I guess I do... although sometimes it simply won't reload until I turn
off and on again.. (which happens to me on windows both at home and at
work.. but not on my webiste on unix.. maybe Tomcat reloads better on
unix..)
thank you for your response.. Frances
