Project manager/ Software Development Manager Permanent

Our client, an engineering firm, is currently looking for a permanent
Project manager/ Software
Development Manager.
The requirements  are as follows :

-Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE or MBA a plus).
-5+ years experience in engineering and program management of complex
software development
projects.
-Comprehensive understanding and demonstrated experience in applying
project management
methodologies, tools and approaches.
- -PMI certification a plus.
-Very strong team leadership skills.
-Very strong verbal and written communication skills to influence product
development and ensure
effective communication between teams and with external technology
partners.
-Highly effective organizational skills to manage a project through
to completion and timely delivery.
-Microsoft Project (expert level).
-Ability to multiplex and manage time across all responsibilities,
and maintain objectivity under
challenging circumstances.
-Effective interpersonal and decision-making skills.
-Self directed - must be comfortable with establishing objectives,
then working to achieve them.


Other Skills:

Facilitate requirements definition and communication among marketing
and engineering teams;
including technical information, inter-team dependencies and agreements
on specifications and
trade-offs.
-Define and communicate comprehensive project plans; including risk
identification/management;
change management, and use of metrics for project results analysis.
-Manage/drive all key project elements and be the primary focal point
between Engineering,
Marketing, Sales and Operations departments across multiple locations,
including suppliers.
-Manage external suppliers, technology partners, and customers throughout
all product stages to
ensure all deliverables/dependencies are achieved per the project
plan.
-Define and apply effective project standards, structure, tools and
processes to proactively manage
cross-function/site development and external dependencies.
-Utilize key program metrics to analyze program results, and identify/implem
ent
tactical and strategic
infrastructure and process changes to ensure continuous improvements
to cycle time and product quality
