Technical Trainer/Writer Permanent
Our client is a growing software development team, that design a customizabl
e
program that runs
the day to day business of Insurance Companies.

The selected candidate must bee a highly skilled, responsible and adaptable
trainer/technical writer
with extensive group training and systems documentation experience.
Candidates must be
comfortable presenting to a group of Insurance professionals and train
them to use products.
Also, the successful candidate will be required to interact with people
at all levels of the company
and gather the information required to develop documentation for both
internal and external use.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to design, write, edit and
create high-quality on line and
printed documentation for the targeted audience.

Responsibilities Include:

-	Primary responsibilities are:
-	To create, tailor and provide training and development programs and
material to suit
the requirements of employees and/or customers
-	To design, write, edit, illustrate and produce high-quality online
and printed
documentation for both internal and external use.
-	Assume responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and relevance
of information contained
in process documents including but not limited to traditional
printed manuals; electronically-
distributed manuals (PDF) HTML, manuals etc
-	The position will be an integral part of the project teams and is
expected to thoroughly
understand the product, it end-users, and their information
needs.  There exists a requirement
to produce product specific process and training documents
for targeted audiences,
ie. Quick reference guides, training guides, tutorials
etc.
-	The candidate will be required to understand the P7C Insurance business
and the
technologies, features and nuances of the clients
products.
-	Creation of templates and reusable processes for developing and maintainin
g
scalable
documentation.

Knowledge and Experience

-	BA/BS in English or Communication/Technical writing or a related
technical discipline
(or comparable experience).
-	5 years related experience preferably with in the insurance industry
-	Excellent writing editing, and content organization skills
-	Ability to capture product nuances and translate complex operations
processes into
clear guidelines / tutorials for targeted audience
-	Knowledge of standard documentation tools such as MS Word, Adobe
FrameMaker,
Robohelp, Adobe Publisher, an HTML editor, screen capture
software, Visio, Adobe
Illustrator etc.
-	Experience in developing content for an internet type knowledge base
-	Ability to work with only general direction and guidance
-	Demonstrated ability to write, organize, edit, and create layouts
process documents
for various audiences e.g. client services quick reference
guide, processing tutorials,
training collateral, online help/FAQ's product release
notes, etc
-	Preference will b e given to candidates with experience in documenting
P&C Insurance
processes.
