Programmer / Analyst Contract

Our client is looking for a Programmer/ Analyst to join their Toronto
office.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

*Developing highly reliable web applications for interdepartmental
use
*Candidate should be highly skilled in software development tools.
*The position carries responsibility of following a rigorous product
development process from product requirement definition to detailed
software design documentation and in-depth software verification plans
*Activities also include active participation in software/database
design and development discussions and open communication with the
project leader and client

Qualifications and Requirements:

*Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
*3 or more years of relevant software development experience
*Work experience in the following technologies: ASP, VB Script, Javascript,
VB. Access, SQL Server, Win2000
*Strong analytical and problem solving skills
*Effective interpersonal and communications skills required
*Highly motivated and a fast learner
*Ability to work independently and as a team player

Desired:

*MCSD/MCP
*OLEDB/ADO experience
*Business Objects, Crystal Reports
*Six Sigma Training
*Exposure to manufacturing processes
