Great if you're making HTML, XHTML, and CSS. Not so great if you're working with server-side scripting and/or templates. More a "web designers" tool than a "web programmers" tool. At this point, I'm still doing most of my editing in Arachnophilia (version 4) when I'm on Windows (IOW: at work) and VIM when I'm on Linux. (I know there are better code editors for Linux. I'm just using in a shell so often I don't think about them.) -- D. Wokan
Post Follow-up to this messageEver considered Eclipse (www.eclipse.org)? AS far as I am concerned, it rocks on both Win and Linux. Plus there is a PHP plugin. D. Only a bit? :)) > (version 4) when I'm on Windows (IOW: at work) and VIM when I'm on VIM is what I'm using all the time. (There's a neat Windows version also). Judging by the screenshots, Arachnophilia is not a WYSIWYG editor? (Though it looks nice)

Post Follow-up to this messageGive it a try. And get the PHP Eclipse (http://www.alfersoft.com.ar/phpeclipse/) that goes with it. D. Wokan wrote: > Mario St-Gelais wrote: > > Actually, I am planning on trying Eclipse. Not entirely sure why I > haven't yet. >

I went off-topic I guess since I don't use a WYSIWYG editor. Arachnophilia 4 does have the ability to do a live preview though where you can see your source changes in the preview window almost as you make them. Not sure about Arachnophilia 5.
