tool to backup partition?

Hi,

I'm looking for a good/easy to use application to simply backup a
complete partition into a single file. Currently i use Norton
(Powerquest) Drive Image 8 for it, but since it's not free/open source
i'm looking for a similar open source application.
I'm using Windows XP.
