Promotion Co ordinator Permanent

Our client is looking for a promotion coordinator.  This person will
be responsible
for managing and following-up on the promotion and source control of
the
development code managed in ClearCase for the Java Applications development

and Maintenance teams in Toronto.

Principal Responsibilities:

Manages the promotions of code in the development, test and production
environments
Confirm that the code has been successfully promoted to the target
environment.
Work with Project development and Support team developers to co-ordinate
code
promotions.
Liaises with the staff in charge of the operational environments to
communicate upcoming
promotes
Maintains the version(s) of the application for each project in their
assigned environments
Participates in the projects meetings to give a status of the promotes
and the applications

Additional Responsibilities:

Defines and updates the schedule of the promotions for the integrators
working in the
different project groups.
Advise Management of any management resource issues
Participates in the development projects of system in order to assure
their realization
and help mentor junior staff in the usage of the methods and promotion
tools.
Coordinates with different IT areas to communicate Application Development's
environment
needs
Develops a good working relationship with the Technical Development
Environment team
and is a member of the Change Advisory Board, to present the upcoming
project promotions
under his responsibility.

Requirements:

University or College Diploma, majoring in Computer Science.
A knowledge of the following languages, tools, environments and methodologie
s;
ClearCase, Pro Requisite, UML, RUP, CMMI
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Detail Oriented
Ability to deal with others
Five years work experience in computer technology of which at least
three years experience,
is in a distributed platform environment, using version control tools
such as ClearCase
