Palm Desktop

I have only been working with perl for about 2 years, so forgive me if
this is a stupid question.

Has anyone worked with Palm databases lately?  It seems to me they no
longer use pdb files.  It looks like they use dat files.  I looked at
Palm::PDB on cpan, but it only refers to PDB files.

Is there a new Modules?  Has anyone been able to work with the new
version of Palm Desktop.
