I've no idea if anyone ever uses PEAR_Frontend_Gtk , however it makes a
nice demostration application, so it would be good if it still worked
with 1.4.0

OK.  Would you mind taking some time away from other projects to help
get it working with PEAR 1.4.0?  I think it is probably acceptable to
consider this a PEAR 1.4.0a2 feature.  The real question is should I put
a dep for PEAR_Frontend_GTK in 1.4.0a1 that excludes all existing
versions?  Otherwise we're talking unbelievable delay, probably 2 months
or more.  I also need to release a version of PEAR_PackageFileManager
that is 1.4.0-compatible.

put the dep PEAR_Frontend_Gtk ge 0.....whatever the current one is..
and file a bug on the package so I get the reminders..
