Senior Software Developer Permanent

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a skilled, organized and experienced individual
who can excel in a position
that consists of the following duties:

Develop software components and programs from provided specifications,
Software requirements analysis,
Software product architecture,
Detailed design of software systems and modules,
Programming and unit testing,
Lead and participate in design reviews,
Develop test plans and test procedures,
Lead integration testing,
Provide accurate effort / cost estimates,
Maintain design documentation,
Lead project teams,
Provide mentorship to junior developers.

Experience Required:

Four to eight years of experience with C/C++
Extensive familiarity / experience with Windows and MFC
Experience with the C++ Standard Library, (iostreams, STL)
Experience with object-oriented analysis and design, and UML
Familiarity with Active-X, ATL, COM and DCOM technologies
Familiarity with MSAccess, database design and programming
Familiarity with data acquisition and/or industrial control systems

Strong mathematical skill is would be an asset.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills are a must.

Physical Demands:
Office setting. Extended periods of sitting.
Some travel outside the country may be required.
