Database Administrator Contract

As a technical resource to our clients  application development team
your responsibilities will be
equally divided between contributing to the support of an Oracle-based
application and contributing
to the development and enhancement of proprietary SQL Server-based
applications.

Qualifications

General Technical
· 5-10 Years of experience in client-server programming
· Understanding of System Development Life Cycle
· Good theoretical knowledge of Relational Theory and Database Design
· Understanding of programming best practices like Code Re-use, Modular
Programming, Standardization
· User-Interface Design skills
· Ability to create complex SQL Statements
· Knowledge of insurance operations, especially life insurance
· Creativity and enthusiasm as well as good communication skills are
critical

Oracle/UNIX Requirements:
· PL-SQL, SQL
· Developer 2000 (Forms 4.5 and Reports 3 or higher versions)
· Oracle 9i Database
· SQL-Loader
· UNIX (preferably Solaris)

SQL Server/Windows Requirements:
· MS Access application design and the Access Object Model
· DAO, ActiveX and ODBC connectivity

Other Technical Requirements:
· Some experience in the following:

- Implementing data warehouses
- BusinessObjects universe design
- Implementing BizTalk
- .NET
- C#
