C++ Programmer Permanent

This position requires a self-motivated, result-oriented, fast learning
and creative individual, who is
responsible for building functional layers of our clients application.
The position involves doing
analysis of functional requirements followed by the design and implementatio
n
of the system
components from workflow driven to the real time to algorithms.  This
position will be reporting to
the New Products Development Manager.

The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and problem
solving skills to work
effectively within a dynamic team.  He/She must be able to see the
"BIG PICTURE' while working
on the individual components of the system.  Effective communication
skills are essential in this
position, as well as your ability to multitask.  This position may
involve occasional travel.

The successful candidate must have:

-	A strong programming background in Visual C++ in Microsoft Windows
environment
-	Working experience with SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle)
-	Working experience of the thin-client and service-oriented architecture
-	Familiarity with the current Web tools, protocols and technologies
(Web Services, XML,
HTTP, HTML)

Knowledge of the transit industry or scheduling and routing domain
would be an asset.

Job Responsibilities

-	Participate in the development and enhancements of the clients products
-	Develop and maintain design documentation
-	Take ownership of problems and deal with them effectively to ensure
resolution
-	Maintain software through review and modification of existing code
-	Produce quality work in a timely manner
-	Keep up wit the new technology

Education and Experience

-	Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
-	Advanced C++ (preferably Microsoft Visual C++)
-	Working knowledge of SQL in Microsoft SQL Server and/or ORACLE
-	Multithreading and code optimization techniques
-	Multi-tier architecture experience (Web Services or distributed applicatio
ns)
-	Protocols and markup languages 9HTTP, SOAP, XML, XSD, T\HTML, CSS,
JAVA SCRIPT)

Equipment Applications

-	Microsoft Windows operating systems (NT4, 2000, XP)
-	Microsoft visual Studio 6 or .NET
-	Relational Database (MS SQL Server, ORACLE)
