Business Analyst Contract
Our client , located in Mississauga, is currently looking for a strong
Business Analyst.

The candidate will have
- excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experienced with web applications and DB solutions.
- must be able to get client requirements, designing a solution,
and managing
it through development, QA and to launch.

- Broad exposure/experience of software development life cycle typically
2-3 years related experience
- Working knowledge of SQL, ASP, client/server based applications
and different operating
system/browser environments
- Working knowledge of testing and/or using automated testing tools
- Analytical, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity
while under time constraints
- Must be a team player

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Client Server = 3 years minimum
- ASP = 5 years minimum
- SQL = 5 years minimum


oAccountable for providing consulting services to clients in the application
of information technologies
oDevelopment of solutions for business problems
oDetermine and define user needs and business requirements
oDevelopment of detailed functional and technical specifications
oDevelop technology systems according to specifications
oProvide on-going support for implemented systems
oMaintain knowledge of systems development, methodologies and information
technology trends
through training, appropriate literature and other means
oEstablishing effective test strategy, test plans and test cases, ensuring
business requirements are
met and executing test scripts
oAnalysis Phase = provide consultative services to e-Business Manager
and Client, investigate
and identify business problem, develop targeted solution, provide estimates
of work effort and duration
for moderate sized enhancements
oRequirements Phase = facilitate requirement gathering sessions with
clients to acquire and
document functional and technical requirements, participate in walkthrough
of business requirements
and obtain sign off by clients, participate in regularly scheduled
status meetings
oDesign Phase = prepare external design document and ensure it is comprehens
ive
with respect to
business requirement, functionality, performance and operating efficiency,
participate in the design of
screens, participate in walkthrough meetings with clients and developers
oBuild Phase = ensure application has been properly migrated into test
environment, ensure
walkthroughs are held of the test requirements and test cases
oTesting Phase = support QA staff in execution of test plan, ensure
that QA is provided with updated
functional specifications
*Implementation Phase = responsible for user verification activities
in a production environment,
participate in post implementation review
*Manage role responsibilities within/to Quality Management System (QMS)
