Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.the exact same error occurs for the swing HelloWorld demo from Sun. moving the .jar's from one directory to another has no effect--both .jar files execute fine from the command line but give that error with a double click. both .jar files open with "javaw" , which AFAIK is correct. sorry, i'm not understanding your suggestion:( -- Thufir
