Website Programmer Permanent

Opportunity
Due to recent growth and new product development, our client is sing
a Website Programmer to
translate requirements for applications on our website into effective
and attractive web-based
information systems using guidelines established by the client.

Mandate
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the core responsibilities
of the position are to:
Test, support and participate in the design process of assigned applications
and modifications.
-  Translate requirements into effective programming designs and user
interfaces
and then render them into deliverable stable production systems
-  Oversee the movement of the system through development, testing
and
production systems
-  Support the source and object code base of the organization
-  Select programming methods and tools for increased productivity
-  Liaise with programmers to determine interface requirements to data
access
modules coded by them
-  Design, develop and implement relational database for new and existing
systems

Qualifications
This position requires experience in:
- Interface programming for website development in Microsoft server
environment using Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript, SQL and other
DHTML
and XML skill areas
- Using Adobe PhotoShop or equivalent to create graphics modifications
on
website
- Programming in a COLD FUSION, ASP or ASP.NET server environment
- Building or consuming SOAP-enabled web services, FLASH-based web
sites
and applets and Integrated Development Environments such as Dreamweaver
or Visual Studio
- Using common website management products, building and testing
browser-independent websites
- The fundamentals and principles of relational database design and
the
application of relational concepts
- Object oriented programming techniques
The ideal candidate will be a highly creative and self-motivated problem
solver with a willingness to
learn new technology and handle numerous projects simultaneously. Must
have excellent
interpersonal and communication skills.
