Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.seems like few projects at sourceforge, or few java programs in general, distribute via java web. is this because web start is fairly new? also, if web start only downloaded updates, instead of everything everytime, would it be more a more popular choice then it is now? --Thufir

Perhaps I should have added, the largest barrier to JWS seems to be the poor understanding of programmers as to the many benefits it brings. That and the learning curve for JWS deployment. It can do that, but depending on how you package the app and how you configure the JWS server, it can be a lot more clever.
