Oh ASP in IIS 6.  Interesting I thought that was ASP.NET.  Does ASP 4.0 =
understand aspx files?

No. The .Net framework is required to run compiled .net files.

strangely though, the KB article quoted by George has a revision date of Jul
16 2001 - making me suspect this is actually a misprint rather than an
actual manifestation of ASP 4.0/2003 server
