question on jar files and truststore

Is there any way to use a keystore in a jar file for an applet?
I've beent rying to use System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",
trustStore);
setting trustStore as a String filename works fine, but can't figure
how to refer to file in the applet jar file.
