Black Diamond sells packaged integrated programs in fixed price
service products.

Black Diamond needs IT experts in Change and Configuration Management
that can communicate well with our business partners and clients and
be comfortable in our entrepreneurial spirit.

In this role you will:
-----------------
Help grow a consulting practice focusing on software Change and
Configuration Management (CCM) strategy and practices at customers
across the spectrum of industries and maturities.
Develop new leads for consulting engagements in this space, and drive
them to sale completion.
Manage selected Black Diamond projects in this arena in cooperation
with the Practice Director
Provide technical leadership and primary on-the-ground execution
responsibility for many of the engagements, as supported by the
Practice Director.
Keep current with the latest developments in the CCM field and apply
them as appropriate to clients.


Skills & Experience Required:
----------------------------------------------

An expert in configuration management and change management concepts,
business justification, and overall objectives, and the ability to
convince client management of the benefits of developing a state of
the art CCM process and solution

Software project or consulting engagement management experience
Rock-solid technical expertise in IBM Rational ClearCase, with
extensive experience in most or all of the following areas: both the
“base” and “UCM” flavors of the tool, ClearCase MultiSite, ClearCase
and MultiSite administration, customization including triggers and
scripts, troubleshooting, UNIX/Windows interoperability implementation
and issues, etc.

Rock-solid technical expertise in IBM Rational ClearQuest, with
extensive experience in most or all of the following areas: ClearQuest
schema creation and maintenance, ClearQuest administration,
implementation of UCM in schemas, expertise in the creation of
ClearQuest customizations such as hooks and scripts, experience with
most or all major DB vendors supported by ClearQuest (Oracle, DB2, SQL
Server, SQL Anywhere, Access)

Familiarity with (and ideally expertise in) configuration management
and change management systems such as StarTeam, CVS, Visual
SourceSafe, PVCS, Remedy, TeamTrack, and others. StarTeam experience
is especially desirable.

An ability to independently lead high-visibility customers through the
creation and implementation of a configuration and change management
plan that provides a complete roadmap for transitioning an
organization to using ClearCase and/or ClearQuest in the most
effective way possible

Experience in delivering training on CCM concepts and Rational
ClearCase/ClearQuest tools to diverse audiences
Ability to travel. Travel throughout the Tri-State and New England
area is essential, and ability to travel throughout the US is a
definite advantage
