Get rid of floating windows
Visual Studio 2003 drives me really crazy because of all these docked
and/or floated windows. Although one can select the MDI paradigm in the
options, this does not apply to all windows! I have the choice either to
dock them - with the effect that half of my display space gets used-up,
or let them floated - with the result I'm wasting half of my time in
moving around windows. Obviously, the designers of this UI have never
really worked with their own product....
I really hope that the next VS version will offer an MDI interface that
applies to ALL windows (as it was in VS 6).

Regards Urs

Then I get a 'floating' window, always statying on top, which drives me
even more crazy. I want these Windows being 'ordinary MDI windows'. That
is, they can be minimized, tiled, cascaded, sent behind etc. As it was
in Studio 6, when you unchecked 'Docking View'.

Re: Get rid of floating windows
Uncheck both "Docking" and "Floating".
