i'm a starter with PHP,  i have made with PHPmaker a small site, but the bac
kground of the page are all white or any other color, but how can ia add a b
ackgroud picture to the pages ?

It's not a PHP problem, but HTML (or CSS or ...) problem.
You can use "backgroud" attribute of "body" tag.
