Sound Vision support (can't get sound in XP)
Sorry if this ends up posting twice, tried to post last night but I
don't see it yet.

I have an app that uses the sound and vision lib, but no matter what I
do, SBINIT() invariably returns .F. How does the lib find the card?
I've tried 5 different cards, with many different SET BLASTER=
settings in the autoexec.nt file, but I just can't get it to work. Is
it only compatible with Windows 9x?

Are there any other options to get use of the soundcard (either FM
synth or playing wav/voc files)? I basically need some audio tones to
come out of amplified speakers instead of just the pc speaker.

Thanks,

groove
