Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.XP pro, service pack 2. Visual Studio .net 2003. I usually allow my control toolbox to auto hide, but for some reason (started today) when I try to peg the toolbox to remain visible Visual Studio is freezing up. The toolbox extends, my mouse cursor changes to the hour glass and that's it. I'm assuming that Visual Studio is attempting to rearrange the screen and is getting "stuck". Even task manager has a problem trying to close it Ive rebooted and retried, same problem. Any way to fix this please? Claire
Post Follow-up to this messageHi, Had the same problem as you. The only fix that I have found is to close the toolbox by clicking the X then opening it with Ctl-Atl-X (or choosing the toolbox from the View menu). If we close the toolbox instead of simply hiding it, the next time it show up is in the pegged state and VS.NET doesn't freeze this time. However, in my case, the task manager has absolutely no problem closing it. Hope that will help, S. L. Post Follow-up to this messageI've also found that moving the Solution Explorer and the Properties Window from the right to the left solved the problem too. S. L.
