Which Newsgroup to Post to?
I recently subscribed to MSDN, and see that there is free PSS support if you
use the News Groups, but I am not sure where to post my question. On
News.Microsoft.com server all I see are public NGs. Should I post a
Sharepoint question to the Public Sharepoint group, or to this MSDN group? I
was sort of expecting a Microsoft.MSDN.Product listing of groups. Please
help

Thank you,

Daryl G.

Re: Which Newsgroup to Post to?
The managed newsgroups are just public newsgroups, but Microsoft is only
committed to responding to posts from email addresses which have been
registered by subscribers.

To register, first sign in to your Subscriber account with your Passport.
Then go to
https://msdn.one.microsoft.com/Subs...dNewsGroups.asp and
indicate the email address you will be posting from.

Not every public newsgroup is a managed newsgroup, so even after you
register your email address, you should check to make sure that the
newsgroup you are using is on the list. For example, this one is not. There
are Microsoft employees who respond here, but there is no formal commitment
for them to do so.
