Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups. For a long time now, I have been working to do my part in continuing the success of the IBM mainframe platform. Our website (http://www.trainersfriend.com) offers: * free techincal papers in PDF format * free Very Short Presentations (VSPs) for mildly technical managers * a short, simple tutorial on what Dialog Manager is * skeletons for creating corporate Intranet web pages that communicate the role of the mainframe in your organization Our latest piece is one page, two-sided glossy piece about the size of a business envelope, and is titled "Unlock FREE Software in your IBM Mainframe". It's thrust is to point out that the mainframe has changed, there is a lot of software provided that people do not know about (and are, therefore, not using) that can save money and / or make people more productive / creative. In addition, there are features included in purchased software that may be unknown, and therefore not utilized. All these efforts point to using us for training, of course, but the information may be of value while ignoring the sales pitch. In any event, if anyone on the list would be interested in getting some copies of this latest piece, drop me an email off-list with a mailing address and how many of these you would like, and I will be happy to send them on for no charge. Post Follow-up to this messageSteve, for years now you have been a pillar of strength here, offering sound advice even when it may not be in your own commercial interests to do so. I for one, would not hesitate to recommend your services and training to anyone who was in need of such information. The problem is location. You are in the US, many potential clients are not. Have you considered any kind of web based learning/tutorial programs? Is the piece you describe below available online? Do you have a website where such material could be downloaded? I wish you every success with your enterprise. Pete. (Top Post, nothing below).
