Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.I've been browsing around the internet telling people about EZ TAR, my new t ar interface. I had to build a webpage in order to get it listed in a softwa re directory, so I might as well tell people about it to get my time's worth . http://www.polisource.com/EZ_TAR.html EZ TAR is free and open-source, but for Windows only right now. I might make it into a project to attract people who could make it more portable. I couldn't find a good Perl module that creates tar files, so I decided to u se a Windows port of GNU tar. To make it easier to use for other purposes, I created EZ TAR. I think GNU tar has been around for about 34 years, and this is the first re al interface for it. There's no reason for something to be difficult just be cause it's command a line tool.
