Re: aida stole my code
Hey Martin,

It's good to actually get your real name and email, I intended to write you
a message after you posted several messages on my repository.
Unfortunately you only left "Beny" as your email, next time you would like
to get in contact with me leaving your email address is a good start!

It's true that I took the code which you posted, modified it a little
(applied PEAR coding standards, and removed sizes over GB) and posted it on
my repository.

I have taken a few functions from the user notes and put them on the
repository over the years, normally I contact the author to ask them for
permission - You didn't leave a name or email in your post, so I didn't
bother.

This was compounded by the fact that you were not the sole author of the
function. As you can see from the cached link, there were at least 10
different predecessors to your code. The simple function had evolved over
the last 2 years, with yours being the final modification. I wouldn't expect
to add your name (if you had left it) to the source more than I would the
other 10 people who contributed.

I'm sorry you feel so distressed over the issue, I'm more than happy to add
you as the author - as I would have told you should you have contacted me.

Kind Regards,
Aidan Lister
