Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.Hi, I read the mirror page : http://www.php.net/mirroring.php and setup an inofficial mirror for php.net under the openrubas project. If you want, you could use this mirror also as official mirror. The server is located in germany and is dedicated to host web site mirrors for different projects. http://php.openrubas.org -> Dual P3 with 1GHZ -> 2 GB RAM -> U160 SCSI Drive -> 100Mbit/s Yes, you have 2 mirrors for germany - I saw it. But you have only one mirror for switzerland. The situation in switzerland is very simple. All internet service providers in switzerland has better connection to germany/frankfurt then to hosting locations in switzerland. This is a reason why most of the webhosting companies in switzerland has their server in germany. In fact I have with my private internet connection a better ping responses from my mirror than from ch2.php.net or ch.php.net.=20 So I would propose to use this mirror as second official mirror from switzerland and I will setup a cronjob to update the mirror once or twice a day (like you want). Please give me a feedback and have a nice day :) --=20 Freundlichen Gr=FCsse Dominic Rubas Gesch=E4ftsf=FChrer und Inhaber von rubas.net http://www.rubas.net

As you just admitted in this last sentence, you see that there are already two active mirrors in Switzerland. The fact that ch.php.net is not listed currently is because they have an old PHP version (Debian Woody probably), and this is not enough anymore for PHP mirror sites. The fact that we have at least two mirrors in both Germany and Switzerland, means that we are not accepting more. Thanks for your offer anyway. Regards, Gabor Hojtsy
