The abort() is called because the Tix code that handles -before
tries to modify arg-list in place but tk8.4 API has arg list=20
as=20

Tcl_Obj *const *objv;

So that would not be allowed by the compiler.

It was marked (by me as FIXME) which the attached patch does.
