New At PHP...And encountered a Prob

Hi,

I am new at PHP and tried installing apache 1.3.2 and PHP 4.3.8..

I followed all the procedures correctly...and was able to show the php_info(
) on a test page.....But tried passing variables....and i cannot read them..

but it seems i cannot print the value of $kido...

Did i do something wrong or miss someting out.....Please do help!
