phpbb + php + mysql

I trying to install phpbb, which requires php and mysql, so I
installed them also.  It is on win2k and IIS 5.0 .  It seems that
phpbb can't access the mysql databases.  I am getting a hint from
elswhere that I need to install a module or something, but I don't
know what it is as it's not very well documented.

I installed successfully on linux...
PHP 4.3.4
MySql 4
Apache 2
