Engagement Manager Permanent

Our client is sing a senior Engagement Manager to work in a dynamic,
fast
paced environment.  The successful candidate will have strong client

management, business development and project delivery skills.  Travel
within
the GTA is a requirement as the Engagement Manager will work primarily
onsite
at client locations.

Responsibilities include:

-Client Management:  manages and maintains the relationship with senior
client
executives.
-Project Delivery:  program manages one or more client projects.  May
have one
or more Project Managers (and teams) reporting to them.  Project delivery
is a
key requirement for this position.
-Business Development:  identifies and proposes new business initiatives.

Works closely with the sales team to sell new consulting initiatives.
-People Management: may be responsible for an internal practice area
or
group of consultants.  Participates in consultant career development
and
reviews.

Required Skills

-Excellent documentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word,
PowerPoint
and Visio.  Must be capable of preparing and delivering executive
style
presentations to senior client  executives.
-Strong client management skills - must be able to interface with high
ranking
client executives and business stakeholders.
-Deep knowledge of the consulting industry and consulting best practices.

Experience working with one or more software development methodologies

such as the Rational Unified Process or other of equivalent status.

Required Experience

Must have a minimum of eight years of relevant consulting experience.
Must
have a minimum of ten years of professional experience.

Must have deep industry knowledge in one of the following industry
verticals:
·Communications
·Electronics & High Tech
·Financial Services
·Manufacturing
·Pharmaceuticals

Must have extensive experience leading large systems development or

systems integration initiatives.

Must have experience in identifying and pursuing business development

opportunities at the client site.

Must have extensive project management and program management
experience.  Must have experience managing several projects of
$1,000,000 in contract value (at a minimum).

Preferred candidates will have prior experience leading consulting

engagements involving one or more of:
·Microsoft or J2EE based engagements
·Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence engagements
·Business Architecture & Strategy engagements
