XP Spk 2 Build Number
What is the Final build number for XP Spk2?

Is there a way to verify the correct SPK 2 is installed and not a beta (RC)
build?

Re: XP Spk 2 Build Number
The final build is 2180.

There are two ways to verify it is installed:

1) Click Start / Run / WinVer. The version should be:
Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 : Service Pack 2)
(Please note that the 2158 does not represent the build number, it is the
timestamp for when the code was built - 9:58PM on August 3rd, 2004, in this
case.)

2) Check the version information on system files, like
%SystemRoot%\System32\NTOSKRNL.EXE. The version should be reported as
5.1.2600.2180

Re: XP Spk 2 Build Number
That's what I'm getting from the MSDN CD, but...SHOULD we be getting the
"RTM" in the build?

Thanks!
