IBM VisualAge C++ "Montana"??
does anybody know what happened to
IBM's VisualAge for C++ 4.0 (or 5.0?) aka "Montana"?

the new VisualAge C++ 6.0 is only available for
Linux/AiX and since it requires a GCC, I suppose it's
completely different from above.

from reading the web, I learned that "Montana"
used to have a database for C++ surface syntax fragments
and native code pieces with APIs to do pluggable
compiler/IDE extensions ..

thx

I think it was withdrawn from the market some years ago.

Maybe you could find the official withdrawal announce letter on some
*.ibm.com site.
