Email spider ... but not
Hi,

Does anybody know where I could get an email spider script - but that
doesn't return the email addresses, but instead returns which pages they are
on? I was thinking of offering a site where people can assess whether their
websites could be spidered by spammers - and help them to reduce the
chances.

Re: Email spider ... but not
umm.. not sure exactly what you mean. but i think your look for something
that does the following?

crawls through a persons web page to find email addresses (the same way a
spammer might do so).
then the script returns to you what pages contain vulnerable email
addresses?

That implies that you must know what spammers *do*. I can write such a
script (for a fee) but then I write what I can do. It seems that some
techniques still stop most harvesting bots which are easy to break using
Perl.
