Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups.I got a kick out of Randal's comment "I helped build this internet." QUESTION FOR RANDAL: What about the many other (million+ developers) on this island, Gilligan? And I used to love your articles in various mags... Thank God for the many others that are *really* here to help on this list. You can spot them when in their signature, you don't see an advertisement for Perl training... OR ambiguous answers!

You might not like it at the moment, but it can help you get the kind of attention you desire later. If you don't stop listening. > You can spot > them when in their signature, you don't see an advertisement for Perl > training... OR ambiguous answers! If you find an answer ambiguous ask for clarification! It's not always possible assess the knowledge of the other party correctly and be exactly as detailed as necessary without wasting the time and boring the recipient with an overdetailed response. And I don't see what has got the ad to do with things. Except the fact that Randal actually does have hands on experience teaching Perl.
