QA specialist Permanent

Our client, A successful software company, is currently looking for
a permanent Junior Technincal
Specialist.

As the 'go to' person for all test system needs the successful incumbent
will be responsible for administering and maintaining all test systems
for the QA and Development departments, as well as working with other
team members in the development and execution of testing scripts, developmen
t
& maintenance of documentation ensuring products meet quality standards
prior to release.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a technical
QA environment, be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex
systems, and possess a keen analytical mind coupled with meticulous
attention to detail.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

·	Continuously maintain and ensure that all test systems are up-to-date,
including applicable import and export files such as bank files and
meter reading files;
·	Coordinate the retrieval and installation of client data for test
systems;
·	Respond to all requests from QA and Development team members regarding
special set-ups and client-specific data
·	Develop standard testing scripts for all modules in CIS Infinity;
·	Create and maintain test systems on the Advanced servers, with the
data required for Quality Assurance testing of Production and Release
builds;
·	Respond to requests from Developers and QA for specific data and
setup required for testing;
·	Validate data results using SQL queries;
·	Execute testing protocols as upgrades, program enhancements, new
modules and bug fixes are completed by the Department of Development
and Technology;
·	Identify and report system errors and deficiencies to the Department
of Development and Technology, using DEV TRACK or other reporting tools,
·	Train Advanced Utility Systems staff in the Quality Assurance testing
protocols;
·	Maintain up-to-date documentation on the Quality Assurance scripts
and procedures;
·	Assist with the roll out of new functionality to other departments
by providing in-house training of Advanced staff;
·	Other duties as assigned;

Experience & Education:

·	Post-secondary education in a technology discipline is preferred
but not required

Competencies & Skills:

·	Proficient written and oral communication skills
·	Experience in both automated and manual testing environments is required
·	Strong organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and
work without supervision
·	Must work well as part of a team
