QA Specialist Permanent

Our client , a successful software company is currently looking for
a
permanent Q/A specialist.


The successful candidate will have proven experience in a technical
QA
environment, be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex
systems,
and possess a keen analytical mind coupled with meticulous attention
to detail.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
.    responsible for administering and maintaining all test systems
for the QA
and Development departments
·   Continuously maintain and ensure that all test systems are up-to-date,

including applicable import and export files such as bank files
and meter
reading files;
·   Coordinate the retrieval and installation of client data for test
systems;
·   Respond to all requests from QA and Development team members regarding

special set-ups and client-specific data
·   Develop standard testing scripts for all modules in thier software
package
·   Create and maintain test systems on the their servers, with the
data required
for Quality Assurance testing of Production and Release builds;
·   Respond to requests from Developers and QA for specific data and
setup
required for testing;
·   Validate data results using SQL queries;
·   Execute testing protocols as upgrades, program enhancements, new

modules and bug fixes are completed by the Department of Development

and Technology;
·   Identify and report system errors and deficiencies to the Department
of
Development and Technology, using DEV TRACK or other reporting
tools,
·  Maintain up-to-date documentation on the Quality Assurance scripts

and procedures;
·   Assist with the roll out of new functionality to other departments
by providing
in-house training of Advanced staff;
·  Other duties as assigned;

Experience & Education:

·  Post-secondary education in a technology discipline is preferred
but not required

Competencies & Skills:

·   Proficient written and oral communication skills
·   Experience in both automated and manual testing environments is
required
·   Strong organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and
work without
supervision
·   Must work well as part of a team
