Programming Forum and web based access to our favorite programming groups. We've made changes to the dictionary, and recompiled everything ok, but now reports created in report writer do not run properly ( using 5.0b ) reports are being called from a menu item in the application. When the reports are called it pops up a request for each of the data files needed. When all are selected the reports run. This did not happen before. Any suggestions what is needed to correct the problem. Roger
Post Follow-up to this messageRoger, The auto-update feature in Report Writer probably didn't work properly, if this is the first time you've seen this. To manually update library definitions (if you've changed your dictionary) start your Report Writer and open the offending library - then click on File -> Import -> Dictionary. Post Follow-up to this messageTks for your reply, I did import the dic. and it said imported ok, however when I try and run a report I still get the same error. Any further ideas? Post Follow-up to this messageHi Roger, This can happen if you are using variables for your File Names. You probably need to edit the TXR file manually and and make sure all the path names are correct in both the file declaration area as well as the Path Names section.
