COBOL Standard - What's "new"
For those interested in the fate of the recent International Vote on the
"Collection Classes DTR", you can read the results for yourself at:
http://www.cobolstandard.info/j4/files/07-0124.doc

As I suspected might happen, 4 of the 5 countries that actively participate
in
WG4 had comments (2 voted YES with comments; while 2 voted NO with comments)
.
On the other hand, 9 countries (or possibly 8 - depending on what Germany di
d)
that never participate in the COBOL Standards process voted YES - with not
comments, so what they voted for "wins".

***

If you are interested in the current WG4 view of the "new" stuff in both the
 '02
and draft standards, look at:
http://www.cobolstandard.info/j4/files/07-0123.doc

and read resolutions 9 and 10.
