Blank pages when opening Internet Explorer.

I get a completely white page when opening Internet Explorer, I've tried to
go to another web site, but there is no change.  I do have internet access, 
I
was able to download Internet Explorer 7.0 to reinstall it hoping that this
would resolve the problem but did not work.  Does anyone know what is going
on?
