Author Connection handle problem for remote views

I have a problem using sql pass Through (SPT) commands when for a moment
loose network connection.

More Details:
I have an application (vfp9) and I am using remote views (against sql
server) and SPT commands in one connection handle for the entire
application. When for some reason stop and start the network connection
(instantly). The remote views continue to work but the SPT commands (I have
one to exec a stored procedure on sql server to obtain a uniqueID) gives
error "communication link failure".

Since Remote views and SPT commands work on the same connection handle and
with the same settings, why after stopping and starting network connection
the remote views continue to work but the SPT gives error ?

Thanks in advance
Nikos
