The Unofficial VisualCLX patch 3.8 is now finished. No new patches will go
into it (there are no new patches at the moment :-) ).
The patch files are already on my homepage (http://unvclx.sf.net) in the
"Beta area" as 3.7 to 3.8 diff files.
The original to 3.8 patches will be available tomorrow (here in Germany:
today).

Changelog for 3.8 (subject to be changed):

- Windows: VCL behaviour of the taskbar button. (Don't forget to set the
application's title)
- z-order finally fixed under Windows. Under Linux all formulars will
come to front if you
activate the application.
- ShowModal blocks all other formulars while active now
- Form.Parent := AnotherForm will embed the form in the parent only if
BorderStyle := fbsNone.
Otherwise the form will stay on top of the parent form.
- Activate/Deactivate patch rewritten
- Focus patch rewritten (OnEnter/OnExit work like in VCL)
- MDIChild geometry patch rewritten (MDIChild with menu got wrong height)
- Detects Left/Top desktop offsets of Gnome's desktop bar
- Kylix IDE menu-template access violation fixed.
- Kylix's Form-Designer works with Gnome 2.6
- OnHide, OnShow, OnActivate and OnDeactivate are in try/except blocks
- Bugfixed and improved new TImageList
- ShowHint resets FHintShown now.
- OnResize is now triggered after OnCreate
- AddExitProc(DoneApplication); is moved to TApplication.Run which
allows the usage of the patch
in the Delphi IDE.
- many smaller bugfixes

The patch is that stable that the when compiled to visualclx.bpl the
Delphi 7 IDE has no problems with it.
The FastReport CLX demo application which had raised AVs with UnVCLX <=
3.7 works with 3.8.
I assume/hope that DevEx components also work with 3.8 but I could not
test them because a statically linked executable demo cannot be tested ;-)

QuantumGrid. Someone had sent me an mail that this component does not work
with the patch. That was january last year.

Never mind, a quick look on the DevExpress shows that they have their
QuantumGrid, Spreadsheet and ExpressWeb Framework all on Kylix 3.

I guess I had forgotten.
