The ASP - developers and maintainers of the PAD (Portable Application
Document) format for shareware file submission recently released a major
change to how PAD can operate. It is now possible to sign a PAD file using
a digital certificate. This is a recommended practice for developers in
order to secure their PAD files and to effectively remove the current
problem of PAD spamming and PAD scamming.

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that all authors update to PADGen 3.01 as soon as
possible. This might also be a good opportunity for all authors to update
and validate all their PAD files.
