Author Recent research and tools for automated test data generation

Hello!

I'm interested in test data generation that works directly with the
source code. Additionally, I read several papers about approaches like
program execution and symbolic execution or systems like DART. Is
there anyone who has information on how these approaches are used in
recent (commercial) test software?
To me it seems as if there is no tool that is able to generate test
cases/data based on a source code analysis without further user
interaction. Is this correct?

Best regards,

Fabian
